Seth Domineau will be coordinating the Umpires for Walpole Little League for the 2019 season.
All graduates from Walpole Little League (of all previous years) are eligible to participate. Umpires will be scheduled for games in the both the Triple A and Minors Divisions. We're hoping to have a significant amount of returning umpires for 2019. All those interested in umpiring, both new and returning, should attend the upcoming umpiring clinic which will be broken up in three two hour blocks. All new umpires should plan on attending all 3 sessions. Returning umpires, with less than 2 years’ experience, should do their best to attend all sessions with a minimum of one session. Those that have umpired for at least 2 years are encouraged to attend one or more of the sessions. All those that would like to be scheduled for games must register on this site via the link below.
Please go to the registration page to sign up. (Please note that future emails, after registration is complete, will go out only to those that have registered. So if you do not register online you will not receive any emails from me; so no need to ask to be removed if you are not returning)
This years’ clinic will be held at Blackburn Hall (downstairs)… Schedule is as follows;
The first two sessions will be two hours in the classroom; the third session on Thursday 4/11 will be on field instruction for the first hour and we'll wrap up with the exam inside (on field instruction will be on Stone field right next to Blackburn).
We're very fortunate to have Ed King instructing once again this year. Mr. King has umpired at all levels of baseball right up through the collegiate level as well as semi pro. He still holds the record for most State Little league finals umpired at 25. His career spanned over a 50 year period and he has taught umpiring school since 1965. This is a great opportunity for all the kids to gain some really valuable insight on the correct way call a baseball game.
