Welcome to the upcoming 2022 Walpole Little League season! On behalf of the entire Board I would like to thank you all for your continued participation and support of the program. It was nice to have a “normal” 2021 season after a disruptive 2020. Our goal as we begin 2022 is to maintain the passion and tradition of Walpole baseball, while continuing to evolve. We will focus on:
- Skill Development at all ages, we have made some modifications last year to the younger programs and it seemed to work well.
- Maintain “Pace of Play”, smaller roster sizes at the younger ages to keep things interesting, to keep it fun for the kids.
- Continue expanding our Partnership with Walpole High School. Look for more information soon on a skill development program for 7 year olds starting in late April, registration will be in March
- Maintain momentum with our Jr/Sr league for our older kids.
- The Board is investigating some modifications to our Summer program and will be in touch with more details soon. Timelines will need to be accelerated given some of the league demands and supply chain challenges.
Registrations will close Feb 18th for Minors, AAA & Majors. Tryouts and Evals for those divisions will be March 19/20 at the Route 1A Turf fields (following weekend if weather does not cooperate). Season will start in early April (weather permitting)
Registration will close March 4th for PeeWee & Junior/Senior. Teams will be sorted in the month of March, season starting in early April (weather permitting). We also are now taking signups until March 4th for Umpires for our Minors and AAA Division (must be 13 to register).
All games will begin around April 22-24 weekend.
WLL is a non-profit and we invest any surplus back into the program. Thanks to all for a very successful Trivia Night allowing us to complete the upgrade on our private facility infield surfaces which was long overdue. If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities please reach out!
